ElcomSoft Co. Ltd. launches
Elcomsoft Wireless Security Auditor, a new GPU-accelerated product to audit Wi-Fi network security. With a minimum password length of 8 characters, modern Wi-Fi networks with WPA or WPA2 PSK encryption are secure enough to make brute force attacks unfeasible. However, using a weak password or passphrase may jeopardize network security. EWSA attempts to recover the original WPA/WPA2 PSK password of a Wi-Fi network performing series of advanced dictionary attacks with deep mutations. If passwords could not be found within a reasonable and limited timeframe, the entire network is considered secure.
Elcomsoft Wireless Security Auditor supports hardware acceleration with NVIDIA Tesla Supercomputers as well as with consumer ATI and NVIDIA graphic cards and industrial-grade NVIDIA Quadro cards. The software runs under Windows XP, Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008, both 32- and 64-bit editions, and is available for $1,199.
